At ten, my days started having two shifts: school in the morning and the Conservatory in the late afternoon. Hours playing an instrument, singing, sitting through theory classes that were often painfully boring. Like any child, there were many days when I just wanted to go home, play or be with my friends, who didn't have the same routine as me. There was tiredness, there were doubts, and more than once I thought about quitting.
I stayed for ten years. And as I got closer to the end, I realised how much I loved it. I grew so much, and the Conservatory made me who I am today. The music stayed with me: it's what calms me down and where I pour my heart out.
Today my days still have several shifts. I'm an Information Technology student, I design websites, film videos, write songs and work with people every day. On top of that, I run my own business.
I'm afraid of being mediocre. Of looking back one day and realising I stayed in my comfort zone when I could have taken the risk.
And I won't pretend it's always easy. There are phases when I stop, when I doubt everything, when my social media goes quiet for months. I run out of ideas, I get stuck, I shut myself away in my thousand and one thoughts, and sometimes I give up. But this spark never goes away. It always comes back. And every time it does, I'm more sure that I want to make something of it.
@sarapresaa was born to show exactly that: the journey as it really is, with the progress and the pauses, without the illusion of overnight success.
I'm still at the beginning, but I know where I'm going. I want to bring technology and creativity together to build things that make people feel something, and one day help others do the same.
If you've made it this far, you're already part of this story. Follow along on social media, tell me about your project, or just write to say hello. I like knowing who's on the other side.
